Porto Moniz (Full Day)
           Leaving the hotel you can go towards Camara de Lobos, a typical fishing village, and then to Cabo Girao, the second highest cliff in the world 580 meters above sea level. Then to Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol and Paul da Serra, the only plateau on the island at 1400 meters. After crossing Paul da Serra you will reach Porto Moniz, where you can have lunch. This village on Northwest coast is known for its volcanic rock swimming - pools. After lunch, on the way to Sao Vicente, you will discover one of the most beautiful points on the north coast, a road built on the rocks near the sea where you can admire astonishing waterfalls. You will then reach Encumeada, a summit where both parts of the island ( north and south ) can be seen at the same time. You will go back to Funchal, passing by the beautifull valley of Serra D`Agua.

Eira do Serrado / Monte - Half Day
           Leaving the Hotel you can go up to Pico dos Barcelos to admire the breathtaking views over Funchal. From there to Eira do Serrado, a viewpoint 1094 meters high overlooking the valley of Curral das Freiras. Afterwards to Monte, one of the most famous places in the suburbs of Funchal, known worldwide for its mild climate and luxurious vegetation, and for its church, the site of the tomb of the last Emperor of Austria, Charles I. The famous sledge ride can be taken down to Livramento ( this is optional ). At the end of the tour visit to a wine cellar for wine tasting.

Rabacal (Levada) + Sao Vicente caverns
           Visit to Rabacal, protected nature reserve of native forest " Laurisilva ". Short walk along an irrigation channel - " Levada do Risco " with a unique evergreen landscape and waterfalls. Lunch in Sao Vicente, to enjoy our delicious food made the good old way by villagers. Sao Vicente is a village known as " Court of the north ". Discover its characteristic streets and monuments. Walk the paths opened by fiery magma by visiting the unique volcanic caves.

One Day in Porto Santo
           Meeting point at the harbour. Departure in the " Lobo Marinho " to Porto Santo. Arrival at Porto Santo, transfers and morning at leisure. The Hotel Porto Santo offers the facilities of changing rooms and showers. Lunch at the hotel ( wines incl. ) Visit to the Columbus House Museum ( closed on Sundays), belvedere of Portela and Pico Castelo. During the excursion there will be a stop to taste the local wine. Transfer to the harbour and return to Funchal in the " Lobo Marinho ".

Pico do Arieiro / Santana
           Unforgettable day discovering mountains, forest and traditional thatched houses Departure from Funchal in direction to Camacha, village famous for being the wickerwork center. Visit the factory where you can see artisans working and purchase articles from a wide collection available. Pico do Arieiro is the second highest summit on the island ( 1810mts ) commanding breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains, peaks and valleys. Descend to Ribeiro Frio where there is a natural park where you can have a look around the trout hatchery. After Ribeiro Frio, proceed to the beautiful area of Faial, climb up to Santana, famous for its cottages which today are known world-wide. Stop for lunch. After lunch we will follow to Portela which is a viewpoint at 670 mts where you can view the impressive rock formations of the Eagle`s Cliff and a part of the north coast. Return to Funchal visiting the town of Machico ( bay where the discovers first disembarked - 1419 ).

Canical / Camacha / Botanical Gardens
           Departure from Funchal in direction of Machico. Visit the bay where the love story of Robert Machim took place and where the discovers of the island first disembarked during the XVth century. Afterwards proceed to Canical, an arid area of unique views over the sea and the coast. From Canical we will follow to Santo da Serra, where we will stop for lunch at the "Queen`s village" local inn. After lunch we suggest a relaxing walk in the beautiful gardens of a " Madeirian "Quinta". We will then continue our tour to Camacha, village known as the wickerwork center. On the way back to Funchal free time to visit the Botanical Gardens from where we can enjoy beautiful views over the city ( entrance included ).
